Metamorphosis

The following Poem is used in my recently published book 'Metamorphosis' (Soulmate ChatStories: Book One/ An Urban Thriller). It tells about the purity of platonic love.. one which involves only the soul ..The desires of our bodies makes us sinners..and as we continue seeking material pleasures from the world..we slowly keep departing from our souls even though we are physically alive..

The word 'Metamorphosis' literarily means 'Transformation'.. A profound change in form from one stage to the next in the life history of an organism, as from the caterpillar to the pupa and from the pupa to the adult butterfly..In wider sense it means a change within ourselves..in realising the connectivity that comes from the five elements all of our bodies are made up.. which makes all of us humans..

THE POEM

Who said a body is essential to love..? The five elements Earth..Water..Fire..Air..Space That a human body is made up of would age .. And to the same they would blend one day But my relation is with the soul.. And the soul never ages..never tires of loving.. It doesn't have expectations of a body.. It can ignite my heart with the fire of the sun I'd strive..even if it means having to suffer To save the soul..from the sins of the body To bring the metamorphosis into effect.. To purify of their sins.. for their redemption The soul doesn't need to metamorphose.. It has an expanse as undefined as the universe.. Like the love I have for you ..
